1952 |
Company founded by two
brothers Nat and Tom Arcati in a small Brooklyn garage. The company is
named Champion due to their love of boxing.

1968 |
Champion Window moves to its current location in Syosset, LI, NY

1975 |
Champion consisted largely as a wholesale corporation and
maintained a retail facility inside its factory.

1981 |
The 2500 double hung
tilt window is added to the already existing line of storm windows and doors at
Champion.

1983 |
In response to changing
market trends, Champion terminates production of storm windows and moves to
solely focus on the 2500 replacement window.

1984 |
The Syosset location is
expanded on the north side of the building to keep up with such demanding
business.

1987 |
The 2000 slider window
is created.
|
|
1989 |
Champion introduces the 1000 sideload window.
|
|
1990 |
Due to such large
success, Champion is featured on the cover of Better Buildings magazine. The
article celebrates the company’s forty years of growth.

1996 |
The Legend 9000
commercial window is introduced.
|
|
1997 |
Champion
Window expands its operation by buying an adjacent building to its
factory and devoting the building solely to glass. The
entire manufacturing area is expanded to 80,000 sq. ft.

1998 |
A new series of doors
enters the Champion lineup as 400/500 series are created.

1999 |
The 6500 window is introduced to the Champion lineup.
|
|
2000 |
The Legend 9500 heavy
duty commercial is created following a very strong line of previously successful
windows. The window is similar in design to the Legend 9000 but has a Heavy
Commercial rating. Using the 9500, Champion is awarded one of the largest
window jobs in New York State history at Rochdale Village in Jamaica, Queens.

2002 |
Champion Window and
Door celebrates its 50th anniversary. Also, the 4000/5000 projected
windows are developed and added to expand the line of champion products. This
new line of windows brings Champion toward the era of new construction jobs.

2003 |
Champion Window and Door extends its operation by moving into the new
construction market. Previously only a replacement window company,
Champion looks to expand its strong reputation into the new construction area.
The 7500 heavy-duty commercial slider is also due out by the end of this year.
